KNUST 70th Anniversary
KNUST is currently celebrating its 70th Anniversary under the theme 70 years of global impact; a new age for a renewed focus,’. The 70th Anniversary of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology was launched on October 27, 2021 at the Great Hall, under the distinguished patronage of the school’s chancellor, His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. The exhibition for the 70th Anniversary Celebration was held from May 10th to May 13th, 2022.

Who is Provost for KNUST College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, CANR
Professor Ben.Kwaku Branoh Banful is a Distinguished Professor of Agronomy and the Provost of KNUST’s College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Prior to becoming Provost of CANR, he was Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Head of the Department of Horticulture, and Department Examination Officer.
He has authored over 75 articles in high impact journals in the area of Production Systems of Crops, crops Postharvest Systems and Soil fertility management. He is an Alumnus of Sekondi College, St Augustine College, the University of Cape Coast and the University of Ghana. The Distinguished has worked with renowned institutions such KMA on their Beautification Project and Eni Exploration and Production Ghana Ltd has attracted an amount of USD3,165,069.00 to the Kumasi-based University.
Prior to his appointment at KNUST, was with the Kumasi Branch of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).

Who is Provost College of health Science KNUST
Professor Christian Agyare currently serves as Provost of KNUST’s College of Health Sciences. Prior to his appointment, he was the Head of the Quality Assurance and Planning Unit at KNUST, which is now the Quality Assurance and Planning Office (QAPO).
He is an Alumnus of the Prestigious Prempeh College, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and the University of Muenster, Germany. The distinguished Professor is married to Dr. Charlotte S. Agyare, and they have three children.
KNUST College of Humanities and Social Sciences Provost
Prof. Charles Ofosu Marfo is currently the Provost of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Prof Marfo is a visiting Scholar/Professor at the Uni versity of Hong Kong and the Potsdam University.
He obtained his academic qualifications from the Premier University of Ghana, University of Tromsø and the University of Hong Kong.
He has previously served in the position of the President of the KNUST branch of the University Teachers’ Association of Ghana (UTAG) and President of the Linguistics Association of Ghana.

KNUST College of Engineering Provost
Prof. Mark Adom-Asamoah is the current of the Provost College of Engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST. Prior to his Provost Appointment, the distinguished Professor served in the portfolio of Dean, Faculty of Civil and Geo-Engineering, Head of Department of Petroleum Engineering and Faculty Examination officer.
The Distinguish Professor is a visiting scholar at some top USA-based Universities such as Arizona State University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA and University of Bristol, UK.

Prof. John Tiah Bugri is the current Provost of the KNUST’s College of Art and Built Environment, CABE. He has previously served as dean of the Faculty of Built Environment between 2015 to 2019 and former Head of Department of Land Economy.

Prof. Leonard K. Amekudzi is the Current Provost of the College of Science in KNUST and visiting professor to WASCAL-CCWR at the University of Abomey-Calavi (Benin). The Professor of Atmospheric Physics and Climate Science is an Alumnus of the University of Cape Coast,UCC and the University of Bremen in Germany
He is an Alumnus of the .Leonard has over 60 publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and attracted funding and grants on some projects such as WASCAL CONCERT, WASCAL FLURIFOOD, DACCIWA Project including funding for 2 Ph.D. students and among other laudable projects on Climates and Tropical Meteorology

The Director for the KNUST Graduate School is Professor Eric Kwabena Forkuo of the KNUST’s College of Engineering. Prof Forkuo is an Alumnus of KNUST, University of Cape Town, South Africa and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong.
