When will WAEC 2020 BECE examination start for basic schools?

The authorities of the Ghana Education Service has stated in a 2019/2020 academic calendar for basic schools that the 2020 BECE examination is scheduled to start from 15th June and ends on 19th June 2020.

The management of GES additionally added that only candidates in the third year of junior high schools are approved by Ghana Education Service are eligible to register to take part in the Basic Education Certificate Examination.

Registered students will partake in the core subjects: English language, social studies, integrated science, and mathematics.

Meanwhile, the elective subjects include Ghanaian Language and Culture, Basic Design and Technology, Religious & Moral Education, Information and Communication Technology, as well as French which is optional.
