National Service allowance not increased to GH₵ 699 – NSS

The Management of the Ghana National Service Scheme (NSS) has debunked claims indicating the Scheme has increased the allowances of prospective National Service personnel to GH₵ 699 with immediate effect.

According to a publication circulating on social media, the Executive Director of the National Service Secretariat, Hon. Mustapha Ussif in the early hours of Friday announced the increment.

The false publication furthered that the Executive Director speaking to the press said arrangements have been made for Service Personnel to the new monthly allowance through their preferred mobile money networks.

But, the Ghana National Service Scheme (NSS) in a post on social media sighted by Georgeweb.org has denied the increment.

The Scheme, therefore, entreat all Service personnel and members of the general public to disregard any such news or publication.
